Falcons of Yellowstone

Falcons—Hunters of precision

Whether speeding through the air to surprise another bird or hovering over a field searching for mice, falcons have developed some amazing adaptations for survival. Found on every continent except Antarctica, these birds have captured the imagination of millions of people across the globe. Using visual aids and a real, live falcon, this program will explore the adaptations of falcons such as vision and wing shape that make these charismatic birds not only amazing hunters, but some of the most sought-after hunting partners on the planet. This lesson meets Common Core Standards as well as national standards in science.
